This choice not only enhances the visual appeal with a luxurious finish but also guarantees the sculpture’s long-lasting reliability. Powered by a stainless steel constant force spring, Circumvolve moves smoothly and consistently, thanks to a durable steel spring belt—far superior to rubber belts, which degrade over time. This ensures the sculpture will continue to deliver flawless motion for years to come.
Winding up Circumvolve is easy and part of the interactive experience. Simply place your finger on one of the spokes of the lower pulley and give it about 22 counterclockwise turns. When you release the pulley, the spring gives the sculpture its first push, setting the satellites in motion. The carriage wheel behind the satellites rotates freely, and as it slows, it triggers another gentle push from the spring to keep the movement going.
